Some of our readers may be too young to remember a little film by the name of Barbarella, but in many circles of cinephile culture there are those who consider it one of the greatest movies ever made. I wouldn’t go that far myself, but I do agree that it is a film that everyone should make time to see at some point in their lives.

For those of you who are reading this and thinking that you are far too busy for a fifty year old French-Italian science fiction film, you’re in luck! Ariana Grande and Zedd have taken many of the film’s best ideas and put them to good use in the official video for “Break Free.” I imagine anyone who enjoys pop radio has already heard the song a few hundred times at this point, but if you somehow missed it entirely up to this point then prepare to be wowed. If you thought Zedd’s collaboration with Paramore‘s Hayley Williams (“Stay The Night“) was stunning, this is next level. You can view the video below:

Grande is everywhere these days, and on August 26 she will release her highly-anticipated Sophomore album. You can stream the most recent promotional single, a ballad with Big Sean titled “Best Mistake,” here.
