A new Veil of Maya album is coming. We promise. How do we know? Well, because we spoke to them! We caught up with Brandon Butler and Marc Okubo in Scranton, PA at the 2014 Rockstar Mayhem Festival to sit down with the guys and discuss a few things.

Between traveling around the country with the Mayhem Festival and playing one-off dates with Trivium, Emmure, and more, the guys have been keeping busy. That’s a good thing according to vocalist Brandon Butler, who doesn’t know what to do when he’s not performing. On days when he was extremely bored, he’d play Monopoly or Risk. As soon as the guys were able to, they actually ended up setting up a makeshift studio in a hotel room to work on new jams.
