Michael Jackson Releases New Music Video on Twitter

Michael Jackson‘s music career has been busier in the five years since his passing than in the last ten years of his life. Xscape, his second posthumous album, was released in early May of this year, overseen by LA Reid and featuring the work of Timbaland and Jerome “J-Roc” Harmon, Stargate, Rodney Jerkins and John McClain. The album incorporates new material with tracks that Jackson left unfinished, all recorded between 1983 and 1999.

This week, a video for “A Place With No Name” was released on Jackson’s Twitter page. The video, directed by Samuel Bayer, features black and white cuts of Michael Jackson from the 1992 mini-movie for “In the Closet.” The video is unique for featuring a new release of an artist five years gone, but also made an internet milestone for being the first music video released exclusively on Twitter.
