The Killers Cover Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” At V Festival (Video)

The Killers may not have put out as much music in the last year as most fans would have liked, but that is not stopping Las Vegas’ best export from livening up their recent festival appearances with a series of unexpected performances.

This past weekend, The Killers were appearing in the UK at V Festival when frontman Brandon Flowers decided to surprise the crowd with a never before performed cover of Iggy Azalea’s top 40 hit “Fancy.” The piano-led rendition lasted less than a minute, but it was more than enough to turn the crowd, as well as everyone online, into giggling school girls filled with joy. There’s also a dance involved, but we’ll save that for the clip. You can view the cover below:

“Fancy” has been a juggernaut at pop radio all summer long, and it has only recently begun to lose steam on the charts stateside. I cannot speak to the song’s performance in other countries, but I think this cover makes it clear that the reign of “Fancy” is far from over. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on the clip.

The Killers played V Festival after headlining the Outside Lands in San Francisco earlier this month. Their next stops bring them to the Glasgow Summer Sessions in Scotland and then Tennent’s Vital in Belfast.
