Move over Ms. Cyrus, there is another pop queen who wants a little time in the controversy spotlight.

Nicki Minaj has never been one to shy away from her sexuality, and it she made it clear she was holding no punches when she revealed the cover art to her latest single, “Anaconda,” a few weeks back. The song’s debut made that even more evident, with talk of sexual exploits, past lovers, and plenty of ass love. It was everything you expected, yet somehow more.

Today, Nicki released the video for “Anaconda,” and it’s chock full of things that will make parents mad. There’s nonstop twerking and related booty dancing, as well as an extended lap dance sequence featuring Drake, and a compilation of shots where Nicki – dressed as a naughty chef – sprays whipped cream all over her chest. You know, wholesome family entertainment type stuff. You can view the video below:

The video is shocking in almost every way imaginable, but it doesn’t make me care about the song any more than I did the first time it left me feeling underwhelmed. Nicki has made great rap tracks, as well as great pop tracks, and this song tries admirably hard to find a balance between the two, but ultimately comes up short. It’s cute, in an insanely raunchy way, but incredibly forgettable.

Nicki’s new album, The Pink Print, is due out later this year.
