Stream Mega Bog’s New Single “Cologne In The Night”

We were first introduced to Mega Bog with their brazen track “Year of Patience” after they announced their debut album, Gone Bananawould be out September 23 via Couple Skate. Now the lo-fi jazz rock group are ready to share a little more off the release, this time sharing “Cologne In The Night.”

A slow number that plays up the evening’s sultriness, “Cologne In The Night” sees Mega Bog seizing bathroom acoustics for a saxophone strut reminiscent of the ’80s. Frontwoman Erin Birgy sings with a pained tone that strikes with heartbroken familiarity, too. It’s dark, spacious, and stuffed with sad sighs. If there’s one thing we’re sure of, it’s that Mega Bog know how to make an old-styled saxophone sound fresh with love-worn wounds. The single is so aptly titled we’re sure we smell the scent from here.
