Amia Venera Landscape Stream Live Studio Version of “Weight Bearer”

We’ve been waiting for SO LONG!

Italy’s Amia Venera Landscape are finally starting to make moves towards releasing a new album since their last effort, 2010’s insanely awesome The Long Procession. We spoke with the band nearly two years ago after they gave fans their first update in a long while, explaining, “During this period we’ve been working on a lot of brand new music. The composition process took different directions, in terms of sounds and respective approaches, and it led us to create something around eighty songs of very different genres.”

That has led to their most recent update as they revealed that they’ve “chosen and arranged the music for [their] next four albums.” The first taste of all this that we’ve been given is in the form of a live studio video for “Weight Bearer.” The new song is as heavy, epic, crushing and doom-ridden as anything found on The Long Procession and will surely excite fans that have been patiently awaiting what’s next from the band. It’s really pretty incredible.

Check out a recent statement from AVL and the studio video below.

Hello there,

almost four years passed since our latest release ‘The Long Procession,’ and a lot of shit happened in the meanwhile: serious health issues for one of us, unreliable booking agents and other various problems caused a slowdown of the recording sessions. On the other hand, during this period we’ve chosen and arranged the music for our next four albums, which are already written and are going to be recorded in the next years.

This is the live-in-studio video of a new song that will be part of our upcoming album, that we’re recording right now.
