UTG Premiere: Vanities – “Too Little Too Late”

I am not sure what else can be written about Vanities that has not already been scrawled across this site a dozen times in the past year. Rising from relative obscurity in New England, Vanities have quickly become a band everyone with an ear for the heavier side of music needs to know. Their debut EP was released in the fall of 2013, and today it gives us great pleasure to inform you the group’s second release, Dead Beats, will be self-released by the band on September 23.

In our opinion there is no reason to announce a new release unless you have some new music to share as well and to their credit Vanities have delivered a banger that may very well stop you in your tracks. Titled “Too Little Too Late,” the first song to surface off Dead Beats finds the group showcasing a technically impressive and lyrically vicious evolution in sound. Frontman Zach Lemieux sounds like a madman on a rampage, while the rest of the group serves as his merry band of thieves, causing rage-inducing musical mischief from beginning to end. It’s not the kind of song your mother would approve of, but sometimes that is exactly what you need to get through the day. You can stream “Too Little Too Late,” in full, below:

UTG is also excited to announce the launch of pre-orders for Dead Beats, which begin today on Vanities’ official webstore. If you like what you hear, please make it a point to show your support and pick up one of the many bundles available. You can preview some of the packages available at the end of this post.

Vanities did a fair amount of touring this summer, but once Dead Beats hits the streets you can rest assured more tour dates will follow. Find the band on Facebook and Twitter to ensure you never miss another update.
