Hear the Newest Song From Guster, “Simple Machine”

Where did this band go? It doesn’t matter anymore. Guster is back, with the pop-punk sensibility, the sing-along choruses, and feel good vibes that you would expect from this band.

Four years after the release of 2010’s Easy Wonderful, the band has given us the lead single off of their new full-length album, Evermotion. The song is called “Simple Machine,” and like mentioned, it carries all the trademarks the band has been known for, but brings some new dimensions as well. It’s got an electronic vibe going, almost through the whole song. So that’s different. Drummer Brian Rosenworcel talked about the track, saying, “In the studio, we found a beat and put a sequencer on it and realized it didn’t need much else.” The song says it the best “I have become something else.” Maybe this song is prophetic of our future with Guster.

The album is set to come out the beginning of next year, January 13 to be exact. Check out “Simple Machine” below, as well as a B-side called “Long Night,” and let us know what you think.
