Placebo Touring for First Time in Seven Years

UK rock group Placebo haven’t been in the news much in the past few years. They teased new music in 2012. They dropped a new album in 2013. They sued The Weeknd for his blatant “Machine Gun” sample in 2013. Now, in 2014, they’re ready to hit the road touring — for the first time in seven years.

The band will cross the pond in October to play 11 stops in North America. They’ll be stopping by Brooklyn’s Escape Music Festival as well as Boston, Montreal, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles and more. Their latest album, 2013’s Loud Like Love, saw singles like “Too Many Friends” blow up online, garnering over a million views — although the crime scene music video could have helped.
