Today was the first day since early April that I stepped outside my apartment and immediately turned back because I realized the sunshine was not enough to keep my bones warm. There was a cold in the air that could only mean one thing: Fall is almost here. That may be a scary thought for you, and if so I cannot blame you in the slightest, but thanks to the brilliant Matoma we can all escape the changing of the leaves – if only for a few minutes – with his new tropical remix of Imagine Dragons‘ infectious single “It’s Time.”

I don’t know if anyone can truly define what makes any one remix better than another, but for me the thing that matters most is the way a remix makes me feel in comparison to the original song. There was always an inherent sense of fun to “It’s Time,” but with Matoma’s new remix listeners are able to appreciate the positivity of Imagine Dragons in a way the original cut could never allow. It’s light and breezy, yet still packing an emotional punch strong enough to inspire life changes (once you manage to stop dancing). You can stream and download the song, for free, below:
