New Years Day Announce New EP, Stream Lead Single

New Years Day have made some big changes since the release of their debut album My Dear back in 2007. The new song the band released today is the perfect example of how the band has truly changed since their inception. In addition to the single release, the band announced a brand new EP, titled Epidemic. The single they dropped, which is titled “Other Side,” can be streamed beneath the break.

“Other Side” is a departure from the sound the band crafted on their previous album. Though the music on that album was a little on the darker side, which is not too unusual for the group, this time we have a little bit of screaming from the backup vocalist. It seems the band is going for a slightly heavier sound, so it will be interesting to hear the rest of the tracks on the EP.
