UTG Exclusive: His Dream Of Lions Reveal ‘Part II’ Album Art

His Dream Of Lions are a band that might not be on everyone’s radar just yet, but after the upcoming release of their album Part II I think it will be incredibly difficult to find anyone in the music industry who is not familiar with the group’s unique approach to rock. Unlike many young bands, there is a lot of thought put into every move made by His Dream Of Lions, and today we are thrilled to aide the band in sharing with fans the cover art for their new record.

If you have been following the social media efforts of His Dream Of Lions this week, you have no doubt noticed the band teasing the reveal we are about to share. Each day this week they have posted a single line of a poem that accompanies the art. Since the promotional period is now over, we can share the full poem with you. It reads:

Run down by the town she bolts to the sea
For some kind of prize, or some old retreat
When red, white, and blue rise up from the deep
She knows all she wanted was right underneath

A piece of the final cover art was revealed with each line, but until today it was impossible for people to see the full image. Click below to view the band’s official cover art reveal:

We asked the band to explain the significance of the art to us. They responded by commenting, “There is a visual component to everything His Dream Of Lions does. We wanted to make the concept behind this record clear to our audience, and though there is a story here, showing it turned out to be much more effective than telling it.”

You can view the cover art, in full, below. Part II hits stores December 2, 2014.
