Young Thug [Finally] Releases “Danny Glover” Music Video

Atlanta native Young Thug has finally released the official video for “Danny Glover,” a song that originally found its way online at the beginning of 2014.

You could make the argument that Young Thug rose to fame throughout 2013, but I think it makes more sense to contribute the genre takeover of Thugga Thugga to everything the up and coming emcee has delivered in 2014. There were a few hit singles last year, including “2 Cups Stuffed” and “Stoner,” but when “Danny Glover” hit it became clear that Young Thug was more than a flash in the pan talent. This was the track that made it clear Thugga would not be returning to the anonymity of underground rap anytime soon, and with the release of the track’s video he seems to be making that statement once again. The clip features performance footage, beautiful women, trippy editing tricks, and more smoke than your favorite Wiz Khalifa video. Check it out:

I have legitimately lost count of how many singles Young Thug has released in 2014, let alone the number of tracks he has appeared on as a guest, but we still do not know when to expect anything resembling a proper album release. Thugga Thugga seems content to stick with mixtapes and one-off releases, which is not hard to understand when you consider the kind of fame such efforts have brought in recent months. When he announces something new, we’ll let you know. Follow UTG on Twitter for updates.
