The Gay Blades Announce Short Tour, Begin Work On LP3

This may very well be the most exciting piece of news we will see all week long.

The Gay Blades, otherwise known as the band responsible for giving UTG its name, have announced plans to embark on a short tour of the Northeast in mid-October. Even more exciting, however, is the news that the duo have also made plans to begin work on their long-awaited third full-length album.

Taking to Facebook with a short and incredibly informative update, The Gay Blades revealed their fall plans to fans Tuesday evening. They wrote:

Hey you rock n’ roll refugees….TGB just confirmed a string of shows and a few days in the studio w/ SAVAGES producer, Dean Baltulonis @ The Wild Arctic to begin tracking on LP3 aka BASTARDS aka YOUR SEX FEVER! ‪#‎TGB4n‬ ‪#‎freshtodeath‬

10/12 – Electric City Music Conference- Scranton, PA
10/16 – Revolution Bar & Music Hall – Amityville, NY
10/17 – Black Bear Bar – Brooklyn, NY
10/18 – Anchors Up – Havervill, MA

We are going to do our best to have a UTG correspondent cover at least two of these shows, and we promise to bring back coverage and any information we can gather regarding the group’s new album. That said, it would not be a surprise if we did not hear about LP3 being completed until 2015. Don’t hold you breath just yet, but do feel free to get excited. We are.
