Up and coming emcee iLoveMakonnen has been the talk of urban music in recent weeks, thanks in part to the success of the track “Tuesday.” Late last night the fast-rising talent made headlines once again by sharing yet another new song, and this one seems destined for radio glory.

There is something beautiful and just a bit strange about rappers who choose to forgo the use of metaphors in order to speak directly with their fans. iLoveMakonnen may not seem like that kind of talent based on his name, but “I Don’t Sell Molly No More” could not be more literal. The song addresses the way iLoveMakonnen’s life has changed over the last year, as well as the many ways it has remained the same, both as a result of his recent career change. Wiz Khalifa guests, but it’s nothing to write home about. You can stream the single below:
