We Came As Romans Release “I Knew You Were Trouble” Cover

Read to celebrate the biggest hits of last year? If so, you’re in luck! We Came As Romans have released their contribution to the upcoming Punk Goes Punk Vol. 6 compilation.

Taylor Swift found major radio success with “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and now it’s time for We Came As Romans to see what they can make happen with the popular breakup anthem. Their take on the track blends the pop sensibilities of the original with the group’s signature post-hardcore sound. The biggest surprise is the presence of clean vocals from both Kyle Pavone and Dave Stephens, which is something I think we will hear more of in the years to come. The video tells a story of the guys sharing a lover, and the way it leaves Kyle feeling a bit frustrated. Check it out:

Pre-order bundles for Punk Goes Pop Vol. 6 are expected to be available soon. For now, you can order the album on iTunes and receive “I Knew You Were Trouble” immediately. Click here for details.
