Bjork Releasing New Album in 2015

Iceland’s unofficial queen Björk is back in the studio. The influential singer-songwriter told audiences she will have a new record out next year when explaining why she wouldn’t be at the London premiere of Biophilia Live, the captured film from her recent tour behind 2011’s excellent Biophilia.

The post reads: “We are so sorry, but since Björk is already working on her next album (out in 2015!) she can not come to the ‘Biophilia Live’ premiere at the London Film Festival this week.”

If she’s trying to out-do herself, there’s a lot of innovation going on. Biophilia saw her encompassing music, apps, museum installations, and live performances that changed the traditional setup of stadiums. To say the least, it was a multimedia collection to rival them all. Her new album will see co-production by Venezuelan producer Alejandro Ghersi, aka Arca, who has also worked on records for Kanye West and FKA Twigs. No word yet if Death Grips will make an appearance.
