Dead Leaves, the reincarnate of Ohio pop-punk band Call It Fiction are just a few days away from releasing their second EP, or is it their first? According to vocalist Elliot Blair, the newest EP is the first true release for Dead Leaves. Their original EP, 2013’s Amend Regret, was billed as Dead Leaves, but written and recorded by what was then Call It Fiction. In a recent interview with Substream, Blair explains that the evolution of the band’s sound is what really separates the two releases- allowing the guys to call this latest release their debut.
You can visit Substream to read the full interview and listen to the new Dead Leaves EP. For anyone who has followed the band closely, you’ll notice a major difference in the production and sound of the new self-titled EP, which will be available October 21.
