Hundredth Signs To Hopeless Records

In one of the most unexpected stories of the week, Hopeless Records has signed South Carolina hardcore band Hundredth. The label will be reissuing all of the band’s previous work, including their recent Revolt and Resist EPs, 2011’s Let Go, and for the first time on vinyl, 2010’s When Will We Surrender. The band will be releasing a new album through the label in 2015.

While Hopeless has dabbled into this brand of hardcore before by signing Cruel Hand earlier this year, this news comes as a surprise to fans of the band and label. I always viewed Hundredth as one of the cornerstone artists in No Sleep Records’ catalogue, and the move to a more pop and pop-punk-focused label in Hopeless seems confusing. However, Hopeless has some heavy hitters in the scene, and I’m sure that the label will be able to provide Hundredth with a more flexible budget and more resources. Read the band’s full statement below, and head to their new online store to hop on those reissues before they’re gone.
