Melody’s Echo Chamber Shares New Single “Shirim”

America always seems a little late to the get-go for artists that aren’t in our neighborhood. One musician who, for the most part, slipped through the cracks in the US is French musician Melody’s Echo Chamber. The Paris-based multi-instrumentalist Melody Prochet mixes colorful psychedelia with melodic chamber pop. The outcome? A whole lot of smoky, dream-filled songs that don’t waste time filling your heart.

Written, produced, and released by Prochet, “Shirim” makes it hard to argue against Melody’s Echo Chamber being anything but talented. The song employs jangly chords, simple drums, and a spacey solo that gravitates in and out of our atmosphere. It’s less bass-driven and heady than her self-titled release, but the single still gets down to business, letting keys echo alongside a ’60s guitar line that pops like a TV show theme.
