Slipknot has released another new song from their upcoming album. Entitled “Sarcastrophe,” this one is the best example of classic Slipknot that we’ve heard from the record so far.
After a slow start, the song moves into a fantastic, heavy jam that sounds like a definite progression from 2008’s All Hope Is Gone. No frills here – if you like Slipknot, this is what you signed up for. Corey Taylor has sounded excellent on all of the new songs so far, but he really shines here as the fearless leader of the band.
Check out “Sarcastrophe” here, and make sure you pre-order .5: The Gray Chapter this week if you haven’t already.
