The Down House Get Sentimental With “Time”

Santa Rosa, California’s The Down House is on the rise.

Beginning with a brief demo this time last year, then providing listeners with a killer debut EP over the summer, the Northern California six-piece continue to churn out fresh material with a new, four-minute, shoegaze-y burner in “Time.”

In regards to the story behind their new single, singer/guitarist Casey Colby tells us that “the song is about a friend of ours who moved away. We knew ahead of time and sometimes you get sad, sentimental, or sometimes you choose to ignore it. I gave him one of my favorite books, Knulp by Hermann Hesse, before he left and he hasn’t had time to read. He’s in New York enjoying life. Good.”

You can stream “Time” from The Down House below and pick the song up for a quick buck through Bandcamp.
