Cursive Announce ‘The Ugly Organ’ Reissue And Details For Upcoming Tour

Get ready to feel old. The Omaha, Nebraska-based indie rock outfit known as Cursive have been together since 1995. They released their debut full-length album, The Disruption, in 1996. With so many albums under their belt (thirteen, to be exact), you’d think it would be difficult to pick just one fan favorite but I think it’s safe to say that most people can agree The Ugly Organ is their best work. It was released back in 2003, but people still love it.

It’s because of this reason I am excited to report that the band has confirmed they will be releasing a deluxe, remastered reissue of the album on November 24. The reissue will contain the original tracks as well as a second disc/LP featuring songs from their 2002 split with Eastern Youth, titled 8 Teeth To Eat You. You can find the entire tracklist below and pre-order the reissue on CD or vinyl via Saddle Creek.

As if that wasn’t enough exciting news for one day, the band also announced a handful of 2015 tour dates. They will be taking along with them a cellist to perform the tracks from The Ugly Organ. You can find the tour dates below as well. Tickets for the 2015 dates go live this Friday at noon.
