‘Meow The Jewels’ Is Real, And Its Trailer Is Here To Unite Cats, Kung Fu, And Explosions

Meow The Jewels, which I will be calling Meow The Jewels: Meow That’s What I Call Music! until Killer Mike sends someone to stop me, is real.  Now we have an amazing trailer to tell us that, yes, it will be as amazing as we think it will

As of writing this, the $45,100 Kickstarter goal has been surpassed by $10,356 with 11 days to go. Now we have the trailer for hip-hop and internet heroes Run The Jewels‘ cat sounds remix album, and what a trailer it is. They took snippets from a bunch of old movies, added cats to each and every one, and made this masterpiece. Big Trouble In Little China is now, somehow, even more awesome.

It also gives a nice rundown of the many big-name contributors to Meow The Jewels, which includes Prince Paul, Just Blaze, Dan The Automator, The Alchemist, Zola Jesus, Nick Hook, Bauuer, Portishead’s Geoff Barrow, Gaslamp Killer, and Skywlkr.

Run The Jewels 2 is out on Mass Appeal on October 27, with the remix album’s drop date yet to be determined. Again, there are still 11 days to go on the Kickstarter – it’s not too late to get in on this one-of-a-kind project and the cat-themed swag that comes with it.
