Sleater-Kinney Announce Reunion Album and World Tour, Share New Single

Following the surprise release of a new song over the weekend, Sleater-Kinney have confirmed plans to reunite in all the best possible ways.

This morning, reps for Sleater-Kinney confirmed the band has not only reunited for the release of a new album, but that they will also spend a good portion of 2015 touring the globe. This will be the group’s first public appearance together since they last toured in 2006, with the exception of their brief 2013 reunion on stage during a Pearl Jam concert. We will talk about the album and tour in detail soon, but first we should enjoy the single. Stream “Bury Our Friends” now:

“Bury Our Friends” is the first single off No Cities To Love, which will be released in January 2015 via Sub Pop Records. The album was recorded in secret with producer John Goodmanson — who also produced Call The Doctor, Dig Me Out, All Hands On The Bad One, and One Beat — at San Francisco’s Tiny Telephone Recording in early 2014 with additional sessions at Portland’s Kung Fu Bakery Recording Studios and Seattle’s Electrokitty Recording. Pre-orders should be available soon.
