The Smashing Pumpkins Stream “Being Beige” From New Album

The Smashing Pumpkins have released the first song from their upcoming LP, Monuments to an Elegy, via Rolling Stone.

With the album due out December 9, hopefully the bright track can tide fans over until then. Featuring lush atmospheres and pretty guitars grounded by acoustics, “Being Beige” is a soaring track that may divide Smashing Pumpkins fans (though honestly, what doesn’t?), but it sure is a solid track that is consistent throughout.

When speaking on the track with Rolling Stone, singer/guitarist Billy Corgan said that “people always ask me to explain songs, and honestly I can’t. But if there’s honesty in this lyric, it’s that there’s something amiss in our cosmos. Yet still, we must love.”

Follow us after the jump to experience “Being Beige.”
