New ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Footage Debuts Online

Ask any comic book fan what the biggest surprise of last week was and they will almost certainly tell you it was the leak of the first trailer for Avengers: Age Of Ultron. The clip, which was originally scheduled to premiere this week, hit the net days before its planned release. Marvel initially responded by uploading an HD version of the trailer, and during last night’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode the company took their efforts one step further by revealing a short clip from the new film.

Thor’s hammer is one of the great oddities in the Marvel universe. Not everyone is able to lift the hammer off the ground, and those who do are allowed to rule over Asgard. In the latest Age Of Ultron footage we see various Avengers take their shot at trying to lift the mighty hammer. They try everything, including Iron Man’s powerful suit, but nothing works. Then, just when you’ve settled into the laid back groove of the sequence, Ultron appears. Check it out:

I love all this footage, but I still think it’s too early for Marvel to be revealing clips from this film. Age Of Ultron doesn’t hit theaters until May 2015, which means we still have six full months to before we get to see this superhero epic in full. Maybe Marvel should calm down.

Whatever the case, you can rest assured we will bring you all the Age Of Ultron footage and additional information as soon as more details begin to surface online. Stay tuned.
