Sam Smith And John Legend Record New Version Of “Lay Me Down” For Charity

When two Grammy award-winning musicians get together to collaborate on a song, you know something special is going to happen.

Sam Smith won four Grammys this past year thanks to his stellar debut album, In The Lonely Hour. One of the popular songs on the album is a heart-wrenching track titled “Lay Me Down.” Smith has teamed up with award-winning recording artist John Legend to re-record the song and release a new version of it. You can give it a listen below.

They took the time to re-record this song for a good cause – all the proceeds will be donated to Comic Relief: Red Nose Day – which is a charity that raises money to help change the lives of people in the UK and Africa. They are hosting their Red Nose Day festivities Friday, March 13 and Smith & Legend will perform “Lay Me Down” live. To help support the cause, you can pick up the single on iTunes.
