Antemasque (Ex-Members of The Mars Volta) Stream Debut Self-Titled Album

In case you haven’t heard, the dynamic duo Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez are at it again, this time in the form of a band called Antemasque. The five piece also features The Mars Volta drummer Dave Eltich and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea. Since officially announcing their debut album in April, fans have been eagerly awaiting their self-titled debut, especially when the premieres of “4AM,” “Hangin’ In The Lurch” and “People Forget” gave them reason to.

Antemasque brings a lot of trademark Bixler-Zavala/Rodriguez-Lopez musicianship to the table in a familiar way with explosive and out-of-this-world psychedelic space rock. Bixler-Zavala’s vocals deliver eerie line after line, just as entrancing as any of his previous projects, while Rodriguez-Lopez remains just as impressive a guitar player as any in independent music. So yes, you need to hear this record.

And yes, you are actually able to hear this record. Antemasque is streaming in full over at Noisey. Let us know what you think in the comments below and make sure to pick it up when it officially releases November 10.
