We’ve had our eyes and ears on Pennsylvania quartet The Districts a lot this year. Their last release, Telephone, has been in consistent rotation here at UTG and they were easily one of our favorite acts at both Outside Lands and Lollapalooza. However, we’ve been craving some new jams from the youngsters.
Today, the band has announced their followup to Telephone and released the lead single as well. The album, titled A Flourish And A Spoil, will be released on February 10 via Fat Possum. The new track, “4th And Roebling,” is named after a special intersection in Brooklyn and is streaming below (via Fader).
Give it a listen in all its raw, bluesy, garage rock glory below, and make sure to check back as we’ll be following the release and will update with more details and pre-order links when they become available.
