Foo Fighters continue to dominate the rock ‘n’ roll airwaves as the release date for the band’s eighth studio record, Sonic Highways, lurks ever closer. Today’s new track, “What Did I Do? / God as My Witness,” is the frontrunner for the record’s standout track and an overall epic rock number.

The song, composed in multiple parts veering from standard verse/chorus/verse, contains everything a timeless rock ‘n’ roll lover would want from a song: a fast introduction, a punchy middle, and an epic ending. It’s a song that has the type of structure to stand the test of time. The track also features American music legend Gary Clark Jr.

“What Did I Do? / God as My Witness” is the fourth song released from the band’s new record and debuts the night before the fourth episode of the Sonic Highways television show airs on HBO. In the show, the band travels to different American cities and attempts to capture the musical history and aesthetic of each location through an original song. Tonight’s song is an ode to the live music capitol of the world, Austin, Texas. Follow the jump to hear the song in full and leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Sonic Highways is due out Nov. 10 on Roswell Records.
