Stray From The Path Drop Off Upcoming Tour, Sylar Joins

Stray From The Path took to Facebook yesterday to announce some disappointing news. The band, which has been touring excessively throughout 2014, has made the difficult choice to drop off the upcoming Eternal Enemies Tour with Emmure, The Acacia Strain, Fit For A King, and Kublai Khan.

This comes as the first time the band has cancelled a tour, mostly due in part that they were afraid their “dicks would fly off” if they did so. Stray’s last album, Anonymous, dropped in 2013 on Sumerian Records.

Here is the official statement from the band along with a video inside the post:

Sadly, we have announced that Stray has pulled out of the Emmure/Acacia Strain tour. Its been a ridiculous year for us and the hardest we have ever toured, with something like 44 days off since January, and despite our previous ideas that not being on tour was the worst possible scenario for the band, its caught up with us and severely affected our personal lives at home. In our heads, we thought not being on tour was wrong, and that for us, not touring was a cause of cancer, not touring should be avoided, not touring would make our dicks fly off. We have never cancelled anything in our career, so hopefully everyone knows how serious a situation had to be in order for us to feel the need to make this decision.

There are a lot of people behind the scenes that put work into a tour, promoters, agents, bands, managers, friends and most importantly supporters of our band, that we let down in this scenario, but still thought that it would be better for the future of this band, which is extremely important to us, and we hope everyone mentioned above.

We will be utilizing this time to finish up writing our next album, and we hit the studio this February with Will Putney, and then hitting the road again immediately after.

Finally, our apologies to Emmure, The Acacia Strain, Fit For A King, and Kublai Khan, and everyone involved. Sylar will be added to the tour, and our boys in FFAK will be taking our spot. See you all again in early 2015.
