Before I begin I want people reading this at home to know that we caused this film to exist. If you bought a ticket for Paul Blart: Mall Cop, rented the DVD, or even tweeted about how funny you thought Kevin James was in the original, you caused this sequel to become a reality. You only have yourselves to blame.

The first trailer for Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 has been released, and like every other franchise unsure of what to do with its second chapter the film takes place in gorgeous and horribly overused Las Vegas. Blart is attending a security convention in the film, but soon finds himself going up against a team of criminals set on robbing every casino on the Vegas strip in one night. Jokes, Segway bits, and an even longer version of the slide gag from the original soon follow. Check out the film’s first trailer below:

Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 opens in April 2015. Do the world a favor and skip this movie. We don’t need Paul Blart: Mall Cop 3. In fact, we didn’t need Paul Blart: Mall Cop in the first place.
