Charli XCX Continues To Impress With “Gold Coins”

Charli XCX has become the latest promising young artist to have the release of their debut album fumbled by a major label with no idea how to promote talent that falls outside the realm of whatever is popular at radio today. Her sophomore album, Sucker, was scheduled to arrive months ago, but at this point it’s still awaiting release. There is a December release date set now, but word on the street is that another delay may be in the future.

All that industry bullshit aside, Charli XCX is continuing to share new music with fans while working out when listeners will be able to purchase her latest record in full. A new track titled “Gold Coins” found its way online today, boasting fuzzy guitar and deep bass hits that offer a catchy alternative to current radio trends while still falling perfectly in line with the writing that made “Boom Clap” an instant hit. You can stream the song, in full, below:

Sucker is due out 12/16 on Asylum/Atlantic/Neon Gold. Follow UTG on Twitter for updates.
