The Jazz June Release Music Video For “After The Earthquake”

If you’re anything like me, you’ve been loving the new record from The Jazz June for at least a few weeks, which is out now on Topshelf Records. This is band’s first new record after a long hiatus, and it lives up to the expectations. Today, the band has released a dark and dreamy new music video for the title track, “After The Earthquake.”

About the new music, frontman Andrew Low told Nylon Mag:

‘After the Earthquake’ is a about getting on with life after a major life-changing event or a new phase of life, and how it can feel like you are living in a new surreal existence. The members of The Jazz June have been through a lot together in the past 20 years since we started the band, and we had the chance to remember the great and not so great times during the recording of the album. This is reflected in the lyrics of the song, and it is the general concept of the album.

This video really shows why it’s so great to have the band back after a long hiatus. The beachy aesthetic here matches the band perfectly, and it’s nice to have material from the band that couldn’t have existed during their original tenure.
