Killer Mike and El-P recently talked to Pitchfork about the unexpected resounding success of Run The Jewels, with Killer Mike even intimating that he was “ready for retirement” before the duo took off. Whether that’s actually true and Mike really would’ve joined the church is a moot point now, although it’s a good thing it happened. Their late-burgeoning careers mean more good music is in the world, and the two would’ve been terrible EMTs.

In the new video for the fiery, foul-mouthed, bass-heavy single “Blockbuster Night Pt. 1,” Mike and El are clearly the coolest EMTs out there. The thing is, they have a tendency to let the populace lie and hog the oxygen to themselves.

Run The Jewels 2 is out now and is, as always, available for free download. The duo is on tour as well; don’t miss them when they come around. You never know when you might be the one in the back of their ambulance.
