Prawn Share New Single, “Built For”

New Jersey is bringing emo rock back, and Prawn are riding at the front of it. The group dropped their sophomore LP, Kingfisher, earlier this year, but had to cut the 12-song tracklist down due to vinyl limitations. On Record Store Day’s Black Friday event on November 28, the band will share the two songs they had to cut.

The tracks will surface on a new EP, titled Settledvia Topshelf Records, of which the title track has already surfaced. The first of the cut songs is “Built For.” It dabbles in the warmth of ’90s emo as well as the lingering of post-rock, making good use of reverb guitars and melancholic verses while still keeping things rough.
