Have Mercy recently released their fantastic new record A Place of Our Own via Hopeless Records, and have been releasing live acoustic versions of some fan favorite tracks. We’re already seen “Pawn Takes Rook,” and now frontman Brian Swindle is back with an acoustic rendition of “Two Years.”
“Two Years” is an early favorite of mine, and this acoustic version adds a new vibe that’s not present on the record. The lead guitar riffs that litter the verses are traded for a more relaxed strumming pattern, and Swindle’s troubled voice adds a layer of urgency.
Check out the acoustic version of “Two Years” below. You can buy A Place Of Our Own here, and check out the band’s tour dates with Real Friends, Neck Deep, and Cruel Hand here.
