Owen-Other-Peoples-Songs

Mike Kinsella has truly been one busy man in the past year with reuniting classic emo band American Football and also playing in Owls and emo supergroup Their/They’re/There. That hasn’t stopped his longtime solo project Owen from releasing a covers album though.

The album, which is aptly titled Other People’s Songs, will be out next week via Polyvinyl Records but you can listen to the album early courtesy of The A.V. Club. After releasing a cover of The Smoking Popes’ “Under The Blanket,” you can now listen to Kinsella’s renditions of songs by Against Me!, Depeche Mode, The Promise Ring, and other bands that influenced the ’90s and ’00s in their own respect.

You can listen to the album in full below. Pre-order options can be found via Polyvinyl Records.
