WATCH: Dej Loaf Performs On Fallon

I have a confession to make: We recently dropped the ball on a hot hip-hop talent that has quickly begun making huge waves in the music industry. Dej Loaf is a Detroit emcee with a lot of passion for music, and her sound is quickly setting her apart from others on the rise. We missed her recent mixtape release, but we are making it a point to never miss another big headline, starting with her recent TV debut.

Appearing on Jimmy Fallon’s late night show, Dej Loaf made her television debut last night with a performance of her popular mixtape effort “Try Me.” The song, which was brought to life with a little help from The Roots, offers a laid back production that provides Loaf with ample room to flex her lyrical talents. Her delivery is top shelf, as is the badass robe she rocks in the clip. Check it out:

Speaking of her recent mixtape, fans of the performance above would be wise to download Sell Sole as soon as time allows.
