While people are most certainly trampling over one another to grab the best deal off of the shelf today, Disney gave everyone the first glimpse at Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens! The actual movie doesn’t come out until Christmas of next year, but embedded below for your viewing pleasure is the first glance at what may be the most anticipated film of 2015. Check it out!

Introduced by a creepy voiceover in what UTG believes to be Andy Serkis, the first shot is dedicated to John Boyega’s still unknown character in a stormtrooper suit. Our guess is that he isn’t really a stormtrooper.

After that, we get quick shots of Daisy Ridley’s character on some kind of speeder in what looks to be Tattooine. Oscar Isaac as an X-Wing fighter pilot may excite some people too and here we get a quick shot of him at the helm. The biggest ‘WTF?’ that the trailer may ignite in you is when the still unknown villain stumbles through a snowy forest, unholstering his lightsaber to reveal what looks like it’s replicating the hilt of a sword. It even looks like the lightsaber is more steeped in reality as the actual lightsaber blade looks to be unconfined and less rounded like the original versions. Here, it looks like the blade is some sort of blazing flame.

For the final tease, the original John Williams score booms as the Millenium Falcon swoops in to fight some Tie Fighters! I can’t express to you how giddy that must be getting people across the country. As the title card rolls, we’re reminded that we still have to wait until December 18 of next year to enjoy this great looking piece of sci-fi. We’ll let you know plot details as soon as we know. Until then, comment back and let us know what you think of the trailer!
