I don’t know about you, but I have always felt like Noah Baumbach receives about 5% of the credit he deserves. For over a decade now he has been delivering hit after hit, both for mainstream audiences and those who prefer something a bit more indie. I mean, how many writers can you name who can craft something as emotionally riveting as The Squid And The Whale or Frances Ha, then turn around and crank out Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted? There’s only one person, and that’s Noah Baumbach.

For his latest work, Baumbach has recruited Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts, Adam Driver, Amanda Seyfried, Charles Grodin and Adam Horovitz to tell a story about a couple who are going through something akin to a mid-life crisis. The pair, who are played by Stiller and Watts, find new reasons to love life after befriending another couple who are much younger than them (Driver and Seyfried). This leads the couple to reevaluate their lives, as well as the choices they’ve made, and may even lead them to change the way they plan to live moving forward, all while providing chuckles aplenty. The official synopsis reads:

Noah Baumbach’s exploration of aging, ambition and success stars Stiller and Watts as a middle-aged couple whose career and marriage are overturned when a disarming young couple (Driver and Seyfried) enters their lives. The film also stars Charles Grodin, Maria Dizzia, Adam Horovitz and Ryan Serhant.

A24 will release While We’re Young in New York and Los Angeles on March 27, 2015. The rest of the nation will be able to catch the flick when it debuts in other cities and states beginning in April 2015. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on the trailer.
