Derek Smith, also known as Mod Sun, is known for a few things. Today, the musician proudly adds “Marijuana Advocate” to the list.
The producer and former drummer of the well-known band Scary Kids Scaring Kids ventured into hip-hop as things with the band were winding down in 2010. Since that time he has made appearances at Warped Tour as Mod Sun, and recently, released a brand new song detailing his love for the recreational drug while poking fun at the war on drugs and the portrayal of marijuana in the media.
