The Golden Globes were tonight, and if you’re anything like the UTG crew you didn’t have the time or desire to watch the three-hour telecast you could just as easily follow on Twitter. We paid attention to winners as they rolled in, but out of thirty contributors I would wager no one on our staff watched more than thirty minutes of tonight’s broadcast. Was it good? Will I have to watch the listicle roundup of best moments in gif form? Don’t tell me. If you do, my Monday will be a snore.
Anyway, the big winner of the night was Richard Linklater and his 12-year project, Boyhood. This bodes well for the film’s chances of taking home Best Picture at the Oscars, but doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise. That honor goes to The Grand Budapest Hotel, which topped Birdman to win in the Best Comedy/Musical category.
You can view the complete list of winners below. We don’t talk about television that often, but we’ve included it nonetheless. Enjoy!
