Tara Reid, Ian Ziering to Return in ‘Sharknado 3’

It’s true what they say—you can’t keep a good shark down.

According to various sources, Sharknado staples Tara Reid and Ian Ziering have signed on to reprise their roles in the third installment of the beloved Syfy franchise, which is set to premiere this coming July. Director Anthony C. Ferrante will also be returning, along with writer Thunder Levin.

Unfortunately, additional details regarding Sharknado 3 are scarce, minus the fact that it will be set in our nation’s capitol, Washington D.C. However, considering the amount of cameos in the first two films, here’s hoping we’ll get to see some notable politicians hacking up Great Whites.

Sharknado 2: The Second One made landfall last summer and quickly became the most-watched Syfy original ever, reeling in 3.9 million total viewers. If you were not one of them, you can check out the official trailer below.
