While the long-delayed release of Lil Wayne‘s final record, Tha Carter V, has been embroiled in plenty of public controversy due to continued sparring between Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records, there is now a bit of solace within the rapper’s camp as Weezy is finally set to release a pre-Carter mixtape. Entitled Sorry 4 the Wait 2, Weezy has begun hyping up the effort with “Fingers Hurting,” a banger of a track armed with a slapping beat and autotune drenched bars whose punchy quality harkens back to the days of No Ceilings.
“Fingers Hurting” can be found after the jump, so be sure to check out the track and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. As for Sorry 4 the Wait 2, it is set to hit the web Tuesday, January 20.
