Death Announce ‘N.E.W.,’ the Band’s First Full-Length Since 1976

No, you didn’t misread that, it really has been nearly 40 years since the Detroit punk band wrote and recorded their debut LP, …For the Whole World to See.

Much has changed for the trio since then, including the passing of guitarist David Hackney and having their unique story told to the world thanks to the rockumentary, A Band Called Death. Those who have seen the film (and we strongly advise you do), would know that as an operating unit, Death is certainly alive and well thanks to Bobbie Duncan entering the picture upon the band’s mainstream discovery in 2009.

This newfound momentum has come down to the group’s official sophomore record, N.E.W., which will be put out by Death’s own label, TryAngle Records. Along with the lead single “Look at Your Life” (which can be heard following the jump), the record will feature entirely new cuts along with songs from Death’s back catalog.

Pre-orders for the album aren’t live just yet, so stay with us for further developments as we come closer to N.E.W.‘s April 21 release date.
