While many of you were busy watching and tweeting about The Grammys, some of us were perfectly content watching America’s favorite animated family in their regularly scheduled time slot. Yes, The Simpsons aired last night as well, and the latest episode featured an appearance from one of music’s biggest stars.

When presented with the alarming news that their town anthem was actually a by-the-numbers theme song sold to numerous cities around the country, the citizens of Springfield were faced with the task of crafting a new song to celebrate their beloved city. Bart and Lisa eventually developed something worth singing, but before they tried their hand at songwriting the one and only Pharrell popped in to offer his hit-making services.
