Earl Sweatshirt Shares “Quest/Power”

We last heard from Earl Sweatshirt when he and skateboarder Nakel Smith dropped “silenceDArapgame” under the alias Hog Slaughta Boyz in early January. The latest from the rapper comes in the form of yet another new track titled “Quest/Power.”

The track is a collaboration with producers Budgie and Samiyam and features Sweatshirt sounding a lot…older? And angrier; more direct. “Quest/Power,” production-wise, is pretty chilled out throughout and employs the use of a simple chorus-like sample. The line “State to state for the profit” from Doris track “Sunday” brings listener’s back to a familiar place lyrically, and Sweatshirt knows: “Said it on Sunday, you peeped it.” Take a listen on Sweatshirt’s Soundcloud here or stream it below.
